      Julius J. Motl, "J.J.", age 73 of Inez, passed away, Saturday, January 29, 2005. He was born March 6, 1931 in Zabcikville, Texas to the late Jerry and Albina Vasek Motl. Julius retired after 47 years as an electrician at ALCOA. He was a member of the Placedo Brethren Church. He was involved with cooking and counseling the Church Youth Camp Ministries for many years He also served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

      Julius was a loving and devoted husband and father. As a young man he enjoyed taking his family camping to various campsites across the U.S. He spent time with his son, Tony, fishing and playing golf. He enjoyed teaching the fine art of gardening to his daughter, Pam. Julius loved to spend time with his grandchildren and keep up with their activities. He enjoyed listening to Nathan play the French horn. He cheered for Jessica at volleyball matches and was Jacob's biggest Little League fan. He enjoyed sharing hunting tips with his son-in-law, Keith, and spending time watching college football. He laughed at his daughter-in-law, Pamela's, stories about children and teaching. His passion for life extended outdoors. He nurtured his garden including his pecan trees and lemon trees. Mr. Motl also made homemade sausage and kolaches with his wife.

      Mr. Motl was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lillian Dornhoefer and five brothers, William Lee Motl, Franklin Motl, Ruben Motl, JD Motl and Anthony Ray Motl.

      He is survived by his wife; Olga Reznicek Motl of Inez; daughter, Pam Bradley and husband Keith of Austin; son, Tony Motl and wife Pamela of Victoria and 3 grandchildren, Nathan, Jessica and Jacob; sister-in-laws, Judy Reznicek of Gray, Tennessee, Helen Motl of Buffalo, Texas, Mary Ann Motl of Visalia, California and numerous nieces and nephews.

      Funeral services for Mr. Motl will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at the Rosewood Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Placker officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, January 31, 2005 at the Rosewood Funeral Chapel.
