      Jerome Adolph Piwetz, 83, of Victoria, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004.

      He was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Fayetteville, to the late Raymond and Frances Weisner Piwetz. He was a retired maintenance mechanic for DuPont and a Catholic.

      Survivors: daughters, Annie Herron of DaCosta, Virginia Hahn of Port Lavaca, Christine Mayer of Cape Carancahua, and Clarice Ann Yarborough of Houston; sons, Daniel Piwetz of Point Comfort, Joseph Piwetz of Duncanville, Andrew Piwetz of Brightwood, Va., Robert Piwetz of Port St. Lucio, Fla., and Anthony Piwetz of Goliad; brothers, C.J. Piwetz of Oregon and Victor Piwetz of Port Lavaca; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

      Preceded in death by: wife, Annie Novak Piwetz; daughters, LaVerne Frances Piwetz and Lorraine Angela Piwetz; brothers, Joe Piwetz and Arnold Piwetz; and one great-granddaughter.

      Visitation will begin 11 a.m. Thursday at Triska Funeral Home chapel.

      The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

      Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Bloomington, the Rev. Matthew Huehfeld officiating.

      Graveside services with full military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post No. 251 will be 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Cross Memorial Park in El Campo. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681.
