He was born Jan. 13, 1921, in Corn Hill, to the late John and Frances Polasek. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of KJT, VFW, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a farmer and a park ranger.
Survivors: wife, Agnes Polasek; daughter, Irene Picha of Shiner; son, Gilbert Polasek of Tuleta; sisters, Georgia Vanecek and Mary Vanecek, both of Sinton, and Vlasta Kallus of Granger; brother, Emil Polasek of Temple; and four grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: sister, Genevieve Naizer.
A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. tonight at Dobie Funeral Home chapel.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
