Leonard A. Korzekwa
Leonard A. Korzekwa, a lifelong resident of Falls City, Texas, passed
away on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, at the age of 81 years, 8 months, and
He was born on Nov. 27, 1922, in Falls City to Isidore and Mary
Mr. Korzekwa married Emily Jaskinia on April 17, 1945.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Mr. Korzekwa retired from the uranium industry after 26 years to care
for his farming and ranching operations.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City,
where he was a member of the Rosary Society. He also was a member of
the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Rosie Skloss; and
a grandson, Scott Lowak.
Survivors include his wife, Emily Jaskinia Korzekwa of Falls City;
sons Ronnie Korzekwa and wife Sandra, and Tony Korzekwa and wife
Patricia, all of Falls City, and Leonard Korzekwa Jr. and wife Kim of
Poth; daughters Theresa Lowak and husband Milton of St. Hedwig, Lori
Lyssy and husband Roger of Falls City, and Elaine Zaiontz and husband
Thomas of Adkins; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A rosary was recited on Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy
Trinity Catholic Church in Falls City.
Mass was celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the church with Father
Kazimierz Olesky officiating.
Interment followed in the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Don Armstrong, Allen Eckhardt, Kameron Korzekwa,
Russell Korzekwa, David Lowak, and Michael Lowak.
