      Krenek

      Ewald Krenek, 90, of Lone Oak passed away Sunday, Aug. 1 in Columbus.

      He was born in Colorado County July 29, 1914 to Vince and Johanna
      (Martinek) Krenek. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and
      was decorated for his services in the Philippines, New Guinea and
      Luzon.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Lena Havel,
      Francis Meyer, Theordore, Fritz, Vince, Willie, Lebert and Leo
      Krenek, Alma Karasek and Jennie von Minden.

      He is survived by his sister-in-law, Pearl Krenek of new Ulm.

      Funeral services were conducted Aug. 3 at Sts. Peter and Paul
      Catholic Church in Frelsburg with Father Wayne Flagg officiating.
      Interment followed in the parish cemetery. 

      Pallbearers were Edgar von Minden, Michael Treybig, Kerry Henrichsen,
      Daryl Henrichsen, Logan Karasek and James Krenek.
