      Edith Patricia Cooper (Pat) Powitzky
      EDITH PATRICIA (PAT) COOPER POWITZKY was born March 30, 1922 to David and Edith Cooper in Westoff, Texas. She went to live with her Lord on July 10, 2004. She loved her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, her family, her church and her friends so very much. Her family was her pride and joy.
       
       She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Calvin E. Powitzky, Sr.; three sons, David E. Powitzky and wife Carol; Calvin E. Powitzky, Jr. and wife Patricia; Dr. Robert J. Powitzky. She was lovingly called "Nannie" by her seven grandchildren, Rachel Steely and husband Clay; John Powitzky and wife Kristi; Drs. Eric Powitzky and wife Amy; Dayna Owen and husband Cody; Jania Deary; Erin Johnson and husband David; Rosser Powitzky; nine great-grandchildren, Samantha and Caroline Steely; Connor and Cullen Powitzky; Benjamin Powitzky; Canon and Caden Owen; Tyler and Caleb Deary. She is also survived by two sisters, Gerry Davison, May McManus and husband Doyle as well as many nieces and nephews.
       
       Pat retired from Exxon Company, U.S.A. in 1985. She was a charter member of South Main Baptist Church, Pasadena, where she taught Sunday School for many years, and was past-president of Women's Missionary Union. She was past-president of Exxon Toastmistress Club and past-president of Pasadena Reading Club. She loved to travel and had traveled to ten countries outside the United States. Her greatest joy was that all her children and grandchildren became Christians.
       
      Services are pending. Please contact Grandview Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena. The family wishes to thank Dr. Eric Burnicker, Medical Clinic of Houston, and Debbie Lyles, R.N. of Odyssey Healthcare. For those so desiring, memorials may be made to South Main Baptist Church, Pasadena in the name of Edith Pat Powitzky.
