      Subject: [TexasCzechs] Searching for Ancestors

This is something I have been using for awhile but thought I would once again share it with others. I use the Czech search engine  www.seznam.cz I type in my surnames one at a time. Then later I type in surname and family tree. Example is  Vondra rodokmen. Rodokmen meaning family tree. Or Vondra Rodina, Vondra Rodiny. Meaning family. Other search terms I use include familie, fotographie, fotograph, historie, as well as the village my familie was from. When you just type Rodokmen you get alot of Pedigree websites. ; )
Tonight after several months off the czech search engine, I typed in Rodokmen, and Jezhi Shmuttia I found family. One key point to remember is if your surname had a hacek ( or marks above the letters) you need to use them. I lost my keyboard reminder which tells me the keyboard in Czech. So, lazy as I am, I just search copy and paste my name with the ' ^ marks into the search box,  Hope this helps somebody.
      Thanks,
      Judy Vondra
