      Lawrence "Dubbie" William Treybig Sr. of El Campo, died March 31, 2004 in
      Houston at the age of 76 years. He was born September 8, 1927 in Glen Flora,
      Texas to the late Walter B. Treybig, Sr. and Henrietta Stock Treybig.

      He is survived by his wife Mary Dorotik Treybig of El Campo; children: Duane
      Treybig and wife Brenda of Sugar Land, Lawrence Treybig and wife Gloria of
      Santa Anna, CA, Denise Buzek and husband Donald of Taiton, Christopher
      Treybig and wife Cynthia of Sugar Land, Michael Treybig and wife Teresa of
      Taiton, Debbie Bernhard and husband Bing of Louise, Marsha Zieschang and
      husband Allen of Danevang; grandchildren: Larissa and Brent Treybig, Marcie,
      Lawrence III, Tracy, Mathew Treybig, Todd Buzek, Derek Treybig, Chad, Craig
      and Cory Hajovsky, and Wesley Branscum; brothers Walter B. Treybig, Jr. of
      Houston, and Leland Treybig of Wharton. He was preceded in death by his
      parents and grandson Gregg Alan Buzek.

      Mr. Treybig was a retired building contractor and rancher. He constructed
      St. John Catholic Church, the rectory and parish hall in Taiton. He was a
      member of St. John Catholic Church, a former Church Board Member and served
      as an usher at St. Joseph Catholic Mission in Boling. He was a member of the
      Knights of Columbus #2490 for 54 years, a member of the S.P.J.S.T. Society,
      past Wharton County Electric Co-op Director and Taiton Community Director.

      A parish rosary will be held on Friday at 7:00 pm at Triska Funeral Home. A
      KC rosary will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am in St. John Catholic Church,
      Taiton. The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in the Church
      with Rev. Joseph Koebel. Interment will follow at St. John Catholic Cemetery
      under the direction of Triska Funeral Home.

      Serving as pallbearers are Anthony Dorotik, David Bujnock, Timmy Bujnock,
      Lee Treybig, John Treybig, Thomas Orsak, Kevin Dorotik, Philip Treybig.

      Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Mission, St. John Church Choir,
      Wharton County Youth Fair, or Wharton EMS.
