      Emil "E.P." Nemec, Sr.

      Emil "E.P." Nemec, Sr., 83, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2004 in a
      Corpus Christi hospital. He was born October 15, 1920 in Granger,
      Texas to Jacob and Elizabeth Strmiska Nemec and had been a resident
      of Nueces County for 78 years. Mr. Nemec married Frances Vana on
      September 1, 1941 in Moulton, Texas. He was a farmer for over 50
      years, a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and the
      Knights of Columbus in Robstown and the KJZT Czech organization.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Emil P. Nemec, Jr.,
      and a son-in-law, Ron Watts.


      Survivors include his wife of almost 63 years, Frances V. Nemec of
      Robstown; one son, Ronald J. (Barbara) Nemec of Robstown; one
      daughter, Karen Watts of Corpus Christi; a daughter-in-law, Susie
      Nemec of Corpus Christi; a brother, Edward (Loraine) Nemec of Corpus
      Christi; three sisters, Frances Kaspar and Margie Kureska both of
      Corpus Christi, Agnes (Henry) Wade of Victoria, Texas; six
      grandchildren, Stephanie (Joe) Christina, Becky (Brian) Hammond,
      Amanda Nemec, Lesli (Ben) Gwynn, Erron Watts, Tia Watts, Stephen
      (Angela) Stryk, and Laura Stryk; four great grandchildren, Catherine
      and Caitlyn Christina, Sydney Stryk and Colton Hammond; numerous
      nieces and nephews.

      Visitation will begin at 10:00am Thursday.

      The Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm Thursday, April 1, 2004 in
      Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.


      Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Friday, April 2, 2004 in
      St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Robstown with Rev. Tom
      Showalter as celebrant.

      Burial will follow at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi.

      Pallbearers will be Erron Watts, Terry Marshall, Joe Christina,
      Brian Hammond, Ben Gwynn and Stephen Stryk.

      In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to the
      Alzheimer's Association, 7400 Louis Pasteur, Suite 200, San Antonio,
      Texas 78229 or to their favorite charity.
