      GOLIAD - Marvin F. "Jeff" Kolinek, 91, of Goliad, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004.

      He was born June 30, 1912, in Elgin, to the late John and Rosa Schiller Kolinek. He attended Draughn's Business College. He worked with the Karnes County Tax Assessor Collectors office, served two terms as District Clerk and was district storekeeper of Central Power and Light in Victoria. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a Lutheran.

      Survivors: daughter, Milledean Albrecht of Goliad; son, Marvin Kolinek Jr. of Uvalde; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

      Preceded in death by: wife, Ella Kolinek; sisters, Annie McAda and Alice Franger; brothers, John Kolinek, Henry Kolinek, Albin Kolinek, Adolph Kolinek, William Kolinek, Pete Kolinek, Edwin Kolinek and Clarence Kolinek; and grandson, Mike Westphal.

      Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Eckols Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Sharon Truelson officiating.

      Burial will be at Kenedy Cemetery. Eckols Funeral Home, Kenedy, 830-583-2533.
