      Frederick Ullmann

      Frederick Paul (Freddy) Ullmann, 60, of Wharton, died Saturday,
      November 8, 2003 at his residence following an extended illness.
      He was born on May 9, 1943 in Wharton to Louis Oscar and Annie Wendel
      Ullmann. Mr. Ullmann was a life-long resident of Wharton and was a
      member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton.
      Mr. Ullmann graduated from Wharton High School in 1963 and attended
      Wharton County Junior College. He married Patricia Louann Hunt on
      July 31, 1965 in Freeport. He was a farmer and rancher all of his
      life and served on the Wharton County Youth Fair Board. Mr. Ullmann
      was active in Wharton Girls Softball League as a coach, manager and
      Past President.
      Survivors include his wife, Pat Ullmann of Wharton; daughter and son-
      in-law, Marsha and Bryan Janda of El Campo; son and daughter-in-law,
      Clayton and Donna Ullmann of Wharton; sisters, Mary Hartfield of
      Needville; Anna Chumchal and Loraine Dusek of Wharton and Kathryn
      Kainer of El Campo; brother, Irvin Ullmann of Wharton; grandchildren,
      Kevin Hamby, Staci Paul, Traci Paul, Christopher Janda and Matthew
      Janda; his dog Sparky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
      He was preceded in death by his parents.
      A Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at the Chapel of the Wharton
      Funeral Home and a Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11
      at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton with Father Joe Vrana
      officiating. Burial followed at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in
      Wharton. Funeral services were under the direction of the Wharton
      Funeral Home.
      Pallbearers were Darlyn Polak, Sharon Stehno, Barbara Schoelberg,
      Kevin Hamby, Stephen Ullmann, Marvin Hartfield, Peggy Sherrill and
      Alton Hartfield.
      Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Mahaltic, Butch Stolle, Laddie
      Prihoda and Sidney Triche and all of his nieces and nephews.
