Anyway, just think how popular our very own pastries would be today if it had worked out.<<I have tasted many really bad Kolaches in my life or something they named the same thing. Maybe the ones that Ray Kroc tried to sell were as bad as the ones I have tried to eat. I would rather them not sell well then to be like a typical badly made, sugar-filled pastry. When they are good, they are great, but when they are bad--yuck! I ate some last year in Central TX that really surprised me. They were so bad that we threw them out and they were from a supposed famous German establishment. When we got to West, we went to the bakery and our Kolache hunger was finally appeased. haha We even saved some and shared them with my cousin and her family in Azle. She was thrilled.

Help!! I received a letter from Tony Janak regarding the 40th Anniversary Dance. I haven't opened it, but have tried for two days to delete the message. It will not let me. It keeps trying to send my personal information and my firewall is throwing a fit. Any suggestions?
Mercy is the extension of God's love toward another. It is recognition that God has not given me what I deserve but has chosen to clear my account with His blood. Because of His gift, I can do no less than forgive and love others in the same way. (Rebecca Barlow Jordan) "..Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." Matthew 5:7 (NIV)

- there really should be a law against some of these things that are sold as kolaches here in Houston. I just don't think a basic pig-in-a-blanket really counts. maybe if roving gangs of elderly Czech ladies started showing up at some of these bakeries and picketing or something...
