      JOE J. ZALESAK, 82, passed away peacefully with his daughter and son-in-law by his side on August 28, 2003.
       
       Born in Frydek, Texas to Julia Kutra and Rudolph Zalesak, Tomball resident for 51 years.
       
      Joe was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Sophie Felcman Zalesak and son, Lynn Edward Zalesak. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Rodney Hughes; sisters, Annie Hobizal, Toni Hobizal and Marie Counsellor; his loving companion of 9 years Eleanor O'Brien.
       
      Military service 1943-1945; 88th Glider of the 29th Infantry Division, ETO, Rifleman. Bronze Leader of the Disabled American Veterans Commander's Club Member of SPJST Lodge: Nova Doba #122 for 56 years.
       
      Family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 P.M. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Klein Funeral Home Chapel, Tomball.
       
       His family is ever so grateful for the compassion and diligent care that William Tompkins, MD, has given him over the many years. The family is also thankful for all the caring, supportive friends, neighbors, relatives & caregivers at Tomball Retirement Center and Crown Hospice. For those desiring, contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Texas Heart Institute or American Cancer Society.
