GONZALES - Gus Albert Wilke, 83, of Gonzales, died Wednesday, April
He was born Nov. 2, 1919, in Gonzales County, to the late Richard
Wilke and Olga Grauke.
Survivors: wife, Margie St. Clair Wilke of Gonzales; son, Roger Wilke
of Seguin; sisters, Emma Breitschopf, Rosie Mae Alex and Olga
Schumann, all of Gonzales, Annie Mae Bond of Leesville and Alvina
Schneider of Victoria; brothers, Edward Wilke of Edinburg and Walter
Wilke of Cuero; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by: parents; sister, Hattie Breitschopf and
brother, Gottlieb Wilke.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home chapel in
Gonzales, the Rev. John Murdock officiating.
Burial will be at Gonzales Memorial Park. Seydler-Hill Funeral Home,
Pallbearers: William Breitschopf, Rusty Lehnert, Scott Wilke, Melvin
Grauke, Bobby Schumann and Freddie Langhoff.
Honorary Pallbearers: members of Men's Sunday School Class of
Eastside Baptist Church, Clyde Bond, George Gescheidle, Russell
Wilke, Brandt Wilke, Kenneth Seals, Kenneth Fleishner, Shawn Wilke
and J. W. St. Clair.
Memorials: Eastside Baptist Church or charity of choice.
