      CORPUS CHRISTI - Darlene M. Knezek, 53, of Corpus Christi, died Sunday, March 30, 2003.

      She was born Dec. 14, 1949, in Hallettsville, to Emma Jurena Wick of Sweet Home and the late Louis F. Wick. She was a License Vocational Nurse for Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital and a member St. Patrick Catholic Church in Corpus Christi. She was a member of the KJZT, Nueces County League of LVN, and of RCIA. She was a member of St. Patrick Altar and Rosary Society and of the World Wide Marriage Encounter.

      Survivors: husband, Johnny R. Knezek; daughter, Janice Marie Knezek of Corpus Christi; son, Michael Anthony Knezek of Corpus Christi; mother; sisters, Gerardette Haas of Hallettsville, Mariette Matthews of Buda and Katherine Martin of Houston; and brothers, Terrence Wick of Hallettsville and Lawrence Wick of Victoria.

      Preceded in death by: father; and sisters, Denise Marie Wick and Shirleen Bela.

      Visitation will begin noon today at Kubena Funeral Home chapel.

      A wake service will be 7 p.m. tonight at Queen of Peace Church Catholic Church in Sweet Home.

      Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Charles Sonnier officiating.

      Burial will be at Sweet Home Catholic Cemetery. Kubena Funeral Home, Hallettsville, 361-798-3271.
