      HALLETTSVILLE - Lawrence M. Heinsohn, 67, of Hallettsville, died
      Friday, March 28, 2003.
      He was born Feb. 22, 1936, in Lavaca County, to the late Anton Albert
      and Matilda Kathrine Koehne Heinsohn. He retired after 38 years of
      service with the Texas Department of Transportation, serving in
      Hallettsville, Victoria and Edna. He was past president of
      Hallettsville Little League, Young Farmers and Texas Public Employees
      Association. He was a member of Area Young Farmers, Herman Sons,
      SPJST, American Legion and St. Peter Lutheran Church.

      Survivors: wife, Esther Kuehn Heinsohn; son, Brian Heinsohn of
      Hallettsville; half sisters, Clorine Beller of Houston and Evelyn
      Feaker of Irving; half brothers, Erwin Woytek of Houston and Eldon
      Woytek of Terrel; and two grandchildren.

      Preceded in death by: parents; half sisters, Maryon Spies and Elsie
      Appelt; and half brother, Melvin Heinsohn.

      Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. today at Kubena Funeral Home chapel.

      Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, the
      Rev. Herb Beyer officiating.

      Burial will be at City Cemetery. Kubena Funeral Home, Hallettsville,
      361-798-3271.
