      Darlene,

I tried sending this to your e-mail darlenbaker@... but received a
      failure message.

You might forward this to your coworker. Was in the history section
of the Victoria Advocate for 2 Feb 2003.

      February 2, 1953

For 16 years a Livingston man owed A. E. Koliba of Victoria a grocery
bill. Today Koliba owes the man. It all started in Placedo during the
hard days of 1937. Koliba, now with Laurent Red and White Grocery,
was running a grocery in Placedo. The man had traded with Koliba for
several years when he had to move. He told Koliba that he was unable
to pay his full bill of $110.23, but did pay $47.50 on it. During
1937 Koliba received $9 on the bill and then heard no more. In
January of 1946 the man wrote Koliba and asked for the balance of the
bill. A statement was made, and again silence.

Then in the morning mail today Koliba got a money order for $55.
Since the balance was only $53.73, Koliba is sending the man a check
for $1.27. Two honest men doing business.
