      JOSEPH KOPYCINSKI

      Joseph Kopycinski, 75, of East Bernard, died Dec. 1, 2000, in
      Richmond.

      Memorial services will be Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic
      Church in East Bernard with Rev. Donald Ruppert officiating.

      He was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Richmond to Henry Kopycinski and Rosie
      Anderson Kopycinski. He was raised in the Richmond area and was a
      graduate of Richmond High School.

      He enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of
      the Catholic faith. On Feb. 7, 1953, he married Dorothy Matthews in
      Richmond.

      He was a supervisor for the BF Goodrich Tire Plant for 30 years until
      his retirement, then worked in security for the Richmond State School.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rosie Kopycinski;
      and three brothers, Edwin Kopycinski, Johnnie Kopycinski and Eric
      Kopycinski.

      He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Kopycinski of East Bernard; three
      sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Jan Kopycinski, Greg and Gloria
      Kopycinski, both of East Bernard, Roeger and Crystal Kopycinski of
      Corpus Christi; two sisters, Clara Maresh, Mary Hurta and sister-in-
      law, Anita Kopycinski, all of Richmond; a brother and sister-in-law,
      Henry and Laura Kopycinski of Houston; and six grandchildren, Derek
      Kopycinski, Lindsey Kopycinski, Amanda Kopycinski, Jessica
      Kopycinski, John Kopycinski and Matthew Kopycinski.

      Memorial contributions may be made to the "Make a Wish Foundation,"
      c/o M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston.

      Knesek and Sons Funeral Home of Wallis was in charge of arrangements.
