      ALBINA SPACEK, age 94, died Friday, November 1, 2002 at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, Texas.
       
       She was born on August 12, 1908 on the Du Wee Ranch near Poth, TX. Her parents were Valentine and Mary Hosek Lichnovsky. She lived all of her adult life in East Bernard, TX where she was a devoted member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, a fifty year member of the Catholic Daughters of America, a long-term member of the Rosary Confraternity and the KJZT. She also worked in the Keprta Brothers General Merchandise store for over forty years.
       
       She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Spacek and two half sisters, Lillie Foitik of Floresville, TX and Francis Lindholm of Rockport, TX. During recent years, she endured pain and suffering without complaint and with dignity and always with humility and total devotion to Our Lord. Our memories of her legacy will be cherished forever.
       
      She had forty-four nieces and nephews. Her family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to her many friends and especially, Lydia Kubena, Sylvia Kieler, Della Cavness and Patsy Konarik.
       
       Visitation will be at the Holy Cross Catholic Church on Sunday, November 3, 2002 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:30 P.M. with a rosary being held at 4:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father Don Ruppert at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, November 4, 2002 at the church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in East Bernard. Pallbearers will be William K. (Billie) Foitik, J. Eugene Marik, Raymond J. Snokhous, John Patrick Marik, John P. O'Hare II and William H. Foitik.
