      There has been comments on the Czech spelling for October, with Rijen and Rijna given (characters not given). While looking up information in The Mikeska Family of Zadverice Vol 1, edited by Robert Janak, I came across the following:
       
      "Czech is a highly inflected language, and the months usually appear on tombstones in an inflected form.  The following chart gives the inflected forms of the months, the uninflected forms, the English ...."
       
      The inflected spelling is rijna and uninflected is rijen.  That is probably why you will find rijna on stones.
