Ferdinand Frieda Dies at Three Oaks
The three Oaks community was shocked at the sudden death of Ferdinand Ernest
Frieda at his home on Friday morning at 11:00 September 12, 1947.

The funeral procession left the Murray funeral chapel at nine Sunday
morning, September 14 and services were conducted at Blessed Sacrament
Church at Poth at 9:30 a.m. with the Reverend Father S. Strobel officiating.
Burial was in Blessed Sacrament Cemetery in Poth.
Mr. Frieda was born in Fayette County, Texas on June 8, 1882 and at the time
of death was 65 years, three months and four days. He was preceded in death
by his first wife, Mrs. Magdalen Hilscher Frieda, and infant son Elo by his

Antonio, step-daughter Erna Baumann of Three Oaks, also four grandchildren
and two brothers Vinc of Floresville and Willie of Houston, two sisters,
Mrs. Dan Houlihan and Mrs. Jake Huble, both of Houston. His parents, three
brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were Herbert and Emil Frieda, Frank and Fritz Huble, William
Merecka and Emanuel Baumann.
