- Waco Tribune Herald, Jan 2, 2002George Sulak, 71, of West, passed away Dec. 31, 2001 in Waco. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday (Jan 3) at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel (in West) by Rev. Walter Matus. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West.Mr. Sulak was born on June 9, 1930 in Penelope, the son of Joe and Mary (Holacka) Sulak. He attended Alligator Creek School, Aquilla and West schools. He married Lucille Marie Drozd on Nov. 6, 1950 in West. He was an automobile salesman for several dealers in West beginning with Kozelski Motors for four years, his own business, George Sulak Motors for 15 years, and Jerrel Bolton Chevrolet and Sykora Family Ford for 11 years before retiring in 2001. He was a member of the SPJST Lodge No. 6 at Cottonwood where he formerly served as vice president, a member of KJT Society No. 31, a member of the RVOS in Penelope and a fathful member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption. Mr. Sulak loved auctioneering for charitable events, hunting farming and raising cattle. He cherished his children and his main role in life above all, was to be a full-time grandpa, sharing his warmth, humor and life experiences. His memory will be long remembered and treasured.He is preceded in death by his parents, and a asister Leona Sulak Tays.He leaves with sweet memories a devoted wife of 51 years, Lucille Sulak of West; three sons, James Sulak of Cedar Hill; Gary Sulak and wife Becky of Abbott and Keith Sulak and wife Elaine of West; one daughter, Sharon Kolar and husband Ricky of West; two brothers, Dennis Sulak and wife Rose and Norman Sulak and wife Dorothy, all of West; five grandchildren, Bryan Sulak, Trey Kolar, Trent Kilar, Tia Kolar, and Garrett Sulak.Memorials may be made to St. Mary's School Endowment Fund or the West Ambulance Association.
