- Waco Tribune Herald, Tuesday, January 1, 2002Lorene Sydow Boatwright Havranek, 85, passsed away Saturday Dec. 29, 2001 with her three daughters and many relatives and friends at her bedside. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wed. January 2, 2002 at Wilkerson-Hatch- Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with the REv. Ben Disney and the Rev. Jo Heyduck of Central United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Riesel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tuesday, Jan. 1, at the funeral home.Mrs Havranek was born Feb. 11, 1916 near Kerens, Texas to Henry Otto and Ada Bethek Crum Sydow. She was one of 11 children. Shemarried George Boatwright on November 23, 1932 in Waco and to this union three daughters were born.Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, Cecil Sydow, Marvin Sydow and Eugene Sydow, two sisters, Florence Daniels and Frances Blankenstein; a granddaughter, Mindy Herren and her husband Drew.Survivors include three daughters, Jean Raines, Rita Denney and husband Richard, of Waco, and Betty Spivey and husband Roy of Hewitt; 12 grandchildren, Becky Cabrera, Glen Raines, Norman Raines, Gregory Raines, Blake Raines, Steven Spivey, Darrell Spivey, Michelle Warren, Scott Spivey, Jamie Goodnight, Renee Weck and Ricky Denney; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Lucille Boatwright of Dallas, Kate Autry, Esther Hinson, Marie Kudelka all of Waco; a brother Jack Sydow of Cypress, TX and many friends.Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Spivey, Rick Cabrera, Norman Raines and Gregory Raines.
