      Mrs. Mary Wendel

      A Requiem Mass for Mrs. Mary Wendel, 88, of 316 Dillworth St., who
      died Wednesday, will be offered at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Gerard's
      Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Society Cemetery. A
      rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at St. Gerard's Catholic
      Church.

      Mrs. Wendel is survived by her husband, C. J. Wendel, San Antonio;
      two sisters, Mrs. Tillie Renken, San Antonio and Mrs. Ben Braden,
      Shriner; a brother, Leo Wendel, Westhoff; three grandchildren and
      three great grandchildren.

      Mrs. Mary Wendel, 88, of 316 Dillworth, died Wednesday, July 31, at a
      local hospital. Survivors: Husband, C. J. Wendel; sisters, Mrs.
      Tillie Renken, San Antonio and Mrs. Ben Braden of Shriner; brother,
      Leo Wendel, Westhoff, Texas; granddaughter, Mrs. Alvin Pawlik, San
      Antonio; grandsons, Leonard and Ronald Schmidt, both of San Antonio;
      3 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, H. L. Schmidt of San Antonio.
      Mrs. Wendel was a Charter member of St. Gerard's Altar Society, a
      member of St. Elizabeth's Benevolent Association and the Third Order
      of St. Francis. Rosary Friday 7:00 p.m. at St. Gerard's Catholic
      Church. Funeral Saturday 8:30 a.m. at Zizik-Kearns-Downing-
      McClaugherty Chapel and 9:00 a.m. at St. Gerard's Catholic Church
      with Requiem Mass to be offered by Rev. Paul Starr, interment in St.
      Joseph's Society Cemetery. Arrangements by
