      Walter D. Knezek Sr., 81, of Sweet Home, died Monday, July 30, 2001.He was
      born July 20, 1920, in Lavaca County, to the late Frank D. and Geneva Turner
      Knezek. He was a locomotive engineer at Southern Pacific Railroad and a
      member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Sweet Home. He was a member of
      KJT, the NRA and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.Survivors: wife,
      Mary Pekar Knezek; daughters, Mary Ann Langhoff of Quitman and Linda K.
      Dolezal of Yoakum; sons, Walter D. Knezek Jr. of Rockport, Frank J. Knezek of
      Bay City, Johnny R. Knezek of Corpus Christi and Harvey E. Knezek of
      Victoria; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by:
      parents; and grandson, Frank Knezek.Visitation will begin at noon today at
      Buffington Funeral Home chapel.Wake services will be 7:30 p.m. tonight at
      Queen of Peace Catholic Church.Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday at the
      church, the Rev. Charles Sonnier officiating.Burial will be at Queen of Peace
