      IIALLETTSVILLE - P. L. Netardus, 80, of Hallettsville, died Monday at 1:30 p.m. in a Hallettsville hospital.


      The body will lie in state at Kubena Funeral Home until Wednesday when it will be taken to Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Services will be at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Stanley Petru officiating.


      Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.


      Mr. Netardus was a member of Sacred Heart Church, K.J.T. Society, American Legion, Knights of Columbus No. 2433, SI. Isidor Lodge of St. Mary's, and was a retired member of the Hallettsville Volunteer Fire Department.


      He was born in Lavaca County June 29, 1892. He was in the saddlery business for 39 years.


      A rosary will be recited at 7:30p.m. by the parish Tuesday night and 7:45 by the society at the funeral home.


      Survivors include a son, Paul Henry Netardus of Hallettsville; a daughter, Mrs. C. J. (Pauline) Zavesky of Hallettsville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Mary Tinari of Malvern, Pa.; two sisters. Mrs. Mary Strauss and Mrs. Mollie (Matt) Pustka Sr., both of Hallettsville; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
