      Funeral services for Anton Wesselsky, 81, Weimar area resident for 52 years, were held last Friday from Roeder Funeral Home and Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church at Shiner, with burial in the Catholic cemetery there.


      Services were led by Rev. John Hanacek and Rev. Thomas Collins.


      Mr. Wesselsky died at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William Rerich, here.


      Born July 3, 1871, in Lautsch, Germany, he came to this country at the age of 19, settling first at Ammannsville, where he farmed for many years.  In 1899 he married Mrs. Anna Belcik at Ammannsville.  Mr. Wesselsky was a member of the Catholic Church and Sons of Herman Lodge.


      Surviving are one son, E. J. Wesselsky of Shiner; one daughter, Mrs. William Rerich of Weimar; three step-sons, Robert Belcik of Ammannsville, John Belcik of Koerth and Joe Belcik of El Campo; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Winkler of Shiner, Mrs. John Kaluza of Ammannsville and Mrs. Millie Koenig of damon; a brother and sister who live in Germany; three grandchildren, Seminarian Emil James Wesselsky and Misses Betty Ann and Dorothy Wesselsky; and a large number of step-grandchildren.  One son, Edmund, preceded him in death.


      Pallbearers at the funeral were Freddie Koenig, Johnnie Belcik, Johnnie Kaluza, Melvin Kaluza, Eddie Belcik and Julius Ermis.
