      Funeral services for Alfonse Zurovec, 82, of Richmond, Texas will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.


      Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.


      Alfonse was born December 16, 1930 in Rosenberg to Ben and Stanie (Jurek) Zurovec. He enlisted in the U.S. Army for 3 years, during the Korean Conflict and was wounded October 7, 1951. Alfonse received the Purple Heart in December 1951. He worked at Gulf States Tube for 37 years before retiring. Alfonse was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion Posts. He passed away September 2, 2013 in Sugar Land.


      He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Stanie Zurovec; brothers, Julius Zurovec, Leonard Zurovec and Edward Zurovec; sister, Sedonia Krobot and husband, Marion; and brothers-in-law, Albert Sabrsula, Ray Rosenbaum and Laddie Kalisek.


      Alfonse is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Aileen Zurovec; sons, Michael Zurovec and wife, Lori and Mark Zurovec and wife, Sharon; daughters, Judy Kveton and husband, Edward and Jill Anderson and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Joshua Zurovec and wife, Barbie, Joseph Zurovec and wife, Vanessa, Rebecca McFarland and husband, Steven, Matthew Zurovec, Jarrad Kveton and finaceƩ, Chelsea Rebert, Aaron Kveton, Stacy Anderson and Brent Anderson; great grandson, Eli Wayne McFarland; sisters, Margie Kovar and husband, Billy, Sr. and Bernice Brown and husband, Danny Ray; and sisters-in-law, Henrietta Rosenbaum, Rosalie Sralla and husband, Lester, Sr., Willie Mae Kalisek and Doris Kolafa and husband, Leo, Sr., along with other relatives and friends.
