      MILDRED M. PESEK

      SHINER – Mildred Marie Pesek, 77, of Shiner, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003.

      She was born April 20, 1926, in Shiner, to the late Frank A. and Lillie Kral Dolezal. She was a member of KJZT, SPJST and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

      Survivors: husband, Laddie Pesek; daughters, Jeanette Poppe of Franklin and Charlene Janak of Hallettsville; sons, Robert “Bobby” Pesek and Dale Pesek, both of Shiner; sister, Emily Wigrys of Houston; and seven grandchildren.

      Preceded in death by: brother, Edward Dolezal.

      A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. tonight at Buffington Funeral Home chapel.

      A KJZT rosary will be recited 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.

      Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Robert Knippenberg officiating.

      Burial will be at Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Shiner, 361-594-3352.

      Memorials: Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, South Texas Hospice, American Cancer Society or Shiner Nursing and Rehab.
