      SAN ANTONIO - Albert J. Bily, 83, of San Antonio, formerly of Runge, died Sept. 28, 2009.
      He was born Sept. 29, 1925 to the late Joseph and Mary Bily in Runge. He was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Runge, served as commander of VFW Post 9189, and was a member of the Runge Chamber of Commerce. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was stationed in Tokyo, Japan. He was a rural mail carrier for 35 years.
      He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Bily; daughter, Mary Bily Lopez; step-daughters, Colleen Zezula Berger and Elizabeth Zezula Kelly, all of San Antonio; sister Georgia Kruciak of Runge; and five grandchildren.
      He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Oscar Lopez; and cousin, Joseph F. Zezula.
      A rosary will be 7 p.m. today, Sept. 30, 2009 at Finch Funeral Chapel-Runge. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Runge. Interment will follow at Runge Catholic Cemetery.
