      GARWOOD - Charles Joseph Pavlovsky, age 76, of Garwood, died on Aug. 31, 2009. He was born on June 16, 1933 in Wharton to the late Charles J. and Laura Franke Pavlovsky. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Bell Bottom Construction.

      He is survived by his wife, Virginia Foytik Pavlovsky of Garwood; daughters, Veronica Scioneaux of Friendswood and Laura Hopper of Cypress; sons, Charles Pavlovsky of Perryville, Mo., James Joseph Pavlovsky of Houston, and Michael Anthony Pavlovsky of Pearland; 10 grandchildren; sister, Lucy Joseph of Manvel; brothers, Frank Pavlovsky of Houston, Pete Pavlovsky of Rosenberg, and Paul Pavlovsky of Bedias; and many nieces and nephews.
      Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Triska Funeral Home. A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nada. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nada with Rev. Joe Vrana officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the St. Mary's Cemetery under the auspices of American Legion Post 251.
      Memorials in memory of Charles J. Pavlovsky may be made to the Garwood Volunteer Fire Department or to St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681.
