      Hi,

Do you know August's parents names? My mother's maiden name was Fikac. Her father's name was Jim (Vaclav) Fikac  and her mother was Ludmilla Machart Fikac.

My cousin Janie Mae was married to an August Fikac - they lived in Shiner.  He's passed away a few years ago.

I have not heard that name (Fikac) in a long time. I went to High School with a pretty young lady by the name of Jonel Fikac (1967). She is the daughter of John and Vlasta Fikac from El Campo, TX. I do not know for sure but I believe the name comes from the word Fiky (fig). That would a Fikac a "fig person)???
