Stepan, Mary H. View/Sign Guest Book Mary H. Stepan passed away Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at a local nursing and rehabilitation center after facing a battle with cancer with great faith and courage.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Mary was born Nov. 12, 1918, in Bell County to James and Ada Bowen. She was married for 51 years to C.A. "Buck" Stepan; he preceded her in death in 1990. Mary was a homemaker who loved to cook and garden and was a wonderful artist. She was a member of Crestmont Baptist Church. Mary always went around with a smile on her face. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Norman Stepan; parents, James and Ada Bowen; brothers, Harold and Sonny Bowen; and a sister, Marie Schonhoeft.
Survivors: Daughter, Jeanette Bandt of Burleson; daughter-in-law, Pat Stepan; sisters, Anne Goldsmith and husband, Ray, and Beatrice Chollet and husband, Harry; grandchildren, Karen Sommers and husband, Tim, James Huff and wife, Cyndi, Valerie Gunlock, John Stepan and wife, Sally, Kelly Hallford and husband, John, and Craig Stepan and wife, Lisa; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
