      EL CAMPO - Louis "Pop" Pospisil Jr., 70, of El Campo, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005.

      He was born Feb. 3, 1935, in Flatonia, to the late Louis and Sophia Hosak Pospisil. He served in the U.S. Army and was a lineman superintendent for WCEC, retiring after 42 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 251 and was a Catholic.

      Survivors: wife, Dorothy Trochta Pospisil; stepdaughters, Donna Shelton of El Campo and Brenda Strelec of Edna; son, Mitchell Whitley of El Campo; stepson, Warren "Butch" Witcher of El Campo; sisters, Helen McMicken of Wharton and Mary Philips of Glendall, Ariz.; brother, Leon Pospisil of El Campo; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

      Preceded in death by: brothers, Jimmy Pospisil and Joe Pospisil.

      Visitation will begin noon today at Triska Funeral Home chapel.

      The family will receive visitors 5-7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home chapel.

      A rosary will be recited 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Phillip's the Apostle Catholic Church.

      Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Robert Guerra officiating.

      Burial will be at Holy Cross Memorial Park Cemetery. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681.
