Lions, tigers and bears cheer on 5KThe 5-kilometer road race during the Gay Games will have a unique setting - the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. The Gay Games just announced it is working with the zoo to host the 5K event on Thursday, 14 August.The course for the 10K (on Tuesday, 12 August) will be announced this fall.Runners participating in the Half-Marathon and Marathon will be on the first half of the prestigious Akron Marathon race course. Bill and his partner, Jed, first participated in sailing at the 2002 Gay Games in Sydney then returned to Chicago ('06). In 2010, they sailed as Team Newport in Cologne (the Netherlands actually)."Throughout the week, we were mediocre at best, but for the finals we applied everything we learned ... we again took home the gold.
