SLA has now posted a PDF of the preliminary conference program under the Personal Planner section at http://www.sla.org/content/Events/conference/ac2008/planner/index.cfm - tomorrow is the discount deadline.
Be sure to check out the whole program!  In addition to the sessions explicitly mentioning taxonomy in their descriptions, there are many others that may be relevant to you, e.g. a half day workshop on content management by Ann Rockley.

This year’s SLA Annual Conference in Seattle in June offers several professional development workshops and conference sessions directly related to taxonomy, ontologies, tagging and controlled vocabularies.
Early bird discount registration deadline is April 1, so if you’re interested, see conference details and registration information at http://www.sla.org/content/Events/conference/ac2008/index.cfm
Although other sessions and exhibits may also be of interest, here's a list of the sessions explicitly related to taxonomy. I’ve extracted these program descriptions and costs to a file on the TaxoCop Yahoo group site http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/TaxoCoP/files/. Please note these are subject to change or cancellation (e.g. if workshops don't get enough registrants), so please check the SLA online planner for updates and book soon if interested.
