      Sat., June 8 & Sun., June 9 Civil War Reunion Weekend Military camps, battle
      scenarios, period music and fashion, home front activities, guest speakers
      and more will bring the Civil War before your eyes. Ongoing activities both
      days. NO PETS please. Field parking on site. Refreshments available. No
      charge. Rain or shine. Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday 10:00 to 4:00
      p.m.
      Ongoing activities/demonstrations/impressions include: ambrotype photography,
      basketmaking, Ladies' Aid Society, shopping on t he sutler's street, The
      Temperance Society, period seamstress, 1860's surgeon, quilting, postoffice,
      mansion tours, write a letter home, Signal Corps, card reader, Chaplain's
      tent, visit the military camps - Union and Confederate, Infantry, Artillery
      and Cavalry
      SCHEDULE OF EVENTS Saturday, June 8
      10:00 - 2:00 Visit Governor Pennypacker's mansion featuring an exhibit on the
      1902 gubernatorial campaign; enter at the west door
      10:00 - 2:00 Kids games from the 1860's in the civilian camp
      10:00 - 5:00 Try your hand at writing a letter home like the soldiers did, or
      send a message in code on the side porch
      10:30 Come one, come all to hear Professor Abertnathy's Medicine Show on the
      civilian street
      11:00 GUEST SPEAKER William Kashatus will present "Just Over the Line:
      Chester County and the Underground Railroad" in the barn
      11:15 Confederate Infantry Drill at the battlefield
      12:00 Meet General Winfield Scott Hancock as he relates his part in the war,
      Gettysburg and more at the W. S. Hancock Society tent by the sutlers
      12:30 Down home music by the Camptown Shakers on the south porch of the
      mansion
      1:30 Artillery Drill - the roar of the cannon leads to the battlefield
      2:00 Battle reenactment at the battlefield
      3:00 - 5:00 Mansion open house resumes
      3:30 Come one, come all to hear Professor Abernathy's Medicine Show on the
      civilian street
      4:00 Court Marshall trial in the Confederate Camp
      Sunday, June 9

      porch of the mansion
      11:45 Signal Corp demonstration at the battlefield
      12:30 GUEST SPEAKER Commonwealth Speaker Dr. Roger Lane will discuss "Abraham
      Lincoln and the Paradox of Greatness" in the barn
      1:00 "Civil Wear": Day and evening civilian fashions of the Civil War era on
      the south porch of the mansion
      1:30 Cavalry Drill at the battlefield
      2:00 Battle reenactment at the battlefield
      3:00 - 4:00 Mansion open house resumes
      3:00 Hear the pump organ in the parlor of the mansion
      3:30 Come one, come all to hear Professor Abernathy's Medicine Show on the
      civilian street
