A monument was erected to the 11th Mississippi on private land, just south of the Cornfield. This regiment was part of Hood's Division and they were engaged a little before 7:00 a.m. on the morning of the fight. The monument is on private land, south of Cornfield Ave., about 100 yards east of the Georgia State Monument.
