      Desperate Engagement:
      The Battle of Monocacy and Jubal Early's
      March on Washington

      Marc will focus on the crucial 1864 battle four miles south of
      Frederick, MD, the northernmost Confederate victory of the war, as
      well as on Confederate General Jubal Early's subsequent march on
      Washington and the fighting that took place outside Fort Stevens. He
      will cover the time period from 13 June 1864 when Lee sent Early out
      from the defenses of Richmond to 13 July 1864 when he crossed back
      into Virginia at White's Ford.
