The park is seeking volunteers to assist with planting 176 apple trees in historic Piper Orchard on Saturday, December 8th. Varieties of apples to be planted include: Spigold, Gibson Yellow Delicious, Double Red Delicious, Williams Pride, Freedom, Liberty, Jonathan, and Yellow Transparent. The holes for each tree will be pre-dug; the duty of volunteers will be to properly plant the tree in the hole. Adults will be asked to work with any children under the age of 12.
