      Rangers at Antietam National Battlefield are investigating a hit and run
      motor vehicle accident that occurred on the evening of September 19, 2003 that
      destroyed a cannon carriage valued at $10,000. The incident occurred at the main
      entrance to the park at the intersection of Maryland Route 65 and Dunker
      Church Road. The involved vehicle may be maroon in color with driver or passenger
      side damage.

      A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and
      conviction of the person responsible for this crime. If you have any information about
      this incident, contact Ranger Todd Stanton or Chief Ranger Ed Wenschhof on
      301-432-2243.
