        I didn't know he stopped using Fedora, but his feelings about Gnome3 are
        widespread apparently.

        I agree with him that needing to know the root password to carry out
        "regular" tasks either:
        1. makes the computer un-usable by "regular" people
        or
        2. weakens the security since you can't keep the root password secret
        anymore

              used to for me. I promptly switched over to XFCE ;p
              There's just something about having icons on my desktop....
