      TTCS Tech Workshop on Saturday April 24, 2010 from 1.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.

      The Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society (TTCS) and the University of the
      West Indies Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering will be having
      a FREE workshop on Saturday April 24, 2010 from 1.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.

      The workshop will be held at:

      *Lecture Theatre #3, Floor 2 Block 13, Faculty of Engineering,
      University of the West Indies, St. Augustine
      (Building at eastern end of Faculty of Engineering car park)*

      This hands-on workshop is designed to guide participants through basic
      mobile application development using Android. A team at UWI will also
      describe their unique experience collaborating with MIT and Instituto
      Tecnologico de Monterrey in the development of Android applications for
      social and economic returns.

      The target audience for this workshop includes computer professionals,
      software developers and individuals interested in mobile technologies

      *NOTE :* *This is a hands-on workshop* so you will need to come with a
      laptop and have the Andriod SDK installed. You can find the instructions for
      installing the SDK <http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing.html>at
      http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing.html.

      Also, you can download MOTODEV Studio for Android for free (w/ registration)
      at http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/motodevstudio/

      Limited space is available so please indicate your attendance by filling out
      the form at http://www.ttcsweb.org/android.htm so that we will have an idea
      how many will be attending.

      *Parking:* Non UWI Staff Members can mention the ´┐ŻAndroid Workshop´┐Ż to gain
      access to campus, if stopped by security upon entry. Parking spots have been
      reserved in the Engineering car park and the automated barrier will be up.
