Group Description

Welcome to this online support group, made possible by the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).

TAPS is a national, non-profit, Veterans Service organization offering immediate and long-term emotional help, hope, and healing to all those grieving the death of a loved one in service to America; regardless of their relationship to the deceased or the circumstance of the death.

THIS GROUP IS FOCUSED SOLELY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE DEATH (BY SUICIDE) OF A LOVE ONE SERVING IN THE ARMED FORCES.

Our hearts go out to you for the loss of your precious loved one. As a survivor, we extend a warm invitation to join this group and make connections with others sharing similar experiences.

Membership to this group must be approved. With the exception of TAPS staff, we do not knowingly permit access to anyone other than those who have experienced the death of a loved one in service. Anyone who misrepresents their status as a survivor will be removed. When requesting membership, please provide your name, the name of your loved one and their branch of service. This information will be requested before membership can be approved.

The support we offer here is peer-based; survivors connecting with survivors for support and encouragement along the grief journey. It is the goal of this site to foster a safe, supportive atmosphere where we can openly share in a non-judgmental and caring manner.

If you ever need to speak to someone urgently, or just need a listening ear, the loving family at TAPS is available to you 24 hours a day. Please contact TAPS through our National Military Survivor Helpline: 1-800-959-8277.

You may also contact us via email at info@taps.org. Visit our website at www.taps.org to learn more about TAPS programs and services.

We reach out to remember the love, celebrate the life, and share the journey. We are here for you!
