Group Description

TAPA , Transgenders Against Police Abuse Coalition

A newly forming Task Force aiming at ending the PD harassment and brutalization of our Transgender Sisters & Brothers in San Francisco.

During our outreach in the Mission, the Tenderloin and up to the Castro district, ISARC has routinely provided support and referrals for the SF oppressed Transgender Community, a number of them on survival mode primarily in the TL and other districts, where comprehensive, culturally competent Transgender services around law enforcement misconduct are critically needed


Also set to increase awareness:

ISF met on many occasions with Sister Jazzie Collins, transgender advocate who spoke at our SF Bang4Change 2006 festival in Feb 06, SF Civil Rights Revival Fest by City Hall. We are very excited about giving TAPA a powerful voice in San Francisco !
