Group Description

This is a group for parents of children with autism living in Hawaii. It is a moderated list. Once approved, posting to the group is unmoderated.

The mission of TACA is aimed at sharing information, resources, and support for those affected by autism. We will focus on a wide variety of topics that affect our children everyday. These issues may include such things as biomedical interventions (diets, supplements, detoxification, bacterial and fungal problems etc), traditional therapies (ABA, DTT, Speech, OT, RDI, Tomatis, etc), education, classroom settings, legal rights, insurance, family/marriage issues, $$$….you name it!

Autism not only affects the child, it permeates almost every facet of our lives. This is an unmoderated list but is obviously part of the World Wide Web and you are advised to assume others may be able to view your posts.

VERY IMPORTANT: You will receive a questionnaire after you click on "Join this Group." Your membership will NOT be approved until you reply to the questionnaire (which is ONLY seen by the moderators and held in the strictest confidence). If you do not receive the questionnaire, please check your spam filter or junk mail folder.

Come to Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) every second Monday of the month, 7-9:30 p.m., at Kaimuki Christian Church, 1117 Koko Head Ave, Honolulu, HI 96816. Visit the TACA of Hawaii group page.

DISCLAIMER: Talk About Curing Autism ("TACA") provides general information regarding medical research, treatment options, therapies and nutrition to the autism community. The information comes from a variety of sources, and TACA does not independently verify any of it. Nothing presented in print or at meetings should be construed as medical or legal advice.
