Did anybody read the following article?

      Beatrice, Pier Franco:
The "Gospel according to the Hebrews" in the apostolic fathers.
      Novum Testamentum 48,2 (2006) 147 - 195.

49 pages. He really did it all!

      - Gospel of the Hebrews
      - Ignatius
      - Papias
      - Kerygma Petrou
      - Didaskalia Petrou
      - Gospel of Peter
      - Secret Gospel of Mark

Highly speculative, but interesting to read and thought-provoking.

      He concludes:
"From the comparative study of Ignatius’s letters and the information given by Papias and Justin, I have deduced that the whole gospel tradition can be traced back to only two sources, that is, the Aramaic gospel of Matthew (or Gospel of the Hebrews or Gospel of the Twelve Apostles) and the Gospel of Peter written in Greek by Mark."

      Best wishes
      Wieland
