Board Updates
The idea of Graphics Teams has been put on hold until the spring Hiatus. This is mostly due to the fact that users seem to be really busy around this time of year and a lot of people expressed interest, they just didn't have time. So look for Graphics Teams again in the spring!
Also, Sam The Series will now be posted here in the forums! This virtual series takes place after season 3 and is headed by Sam451823, Shannon, and Nightshadeisis. If you need your SN fix, why not spend some time in the VS forums? Check out Sam the Series.
The member count for the forums has now hit over 40,000!! What an accomplishment for the show, and what a compliment for the forum! It's great to have such a large and wonderful community at SN.tv. Thanks to all of you for being awesome fans!Articles:
Hello, fans of Supernatural. Today, I've made a deal with grkgrl to air episodes of the virtual series Sam on Supernatural.tv. The series picks up where Season Three of Supernatural left off with the series premiere entitled "As Daylight Dies..." The series is currently on its midseason hiatus after airing its tenth episode, entitled "A Trip Down Memory Lane (1)," and will return on January 30th, 2009, with the episode "Doomsday (2)."
Sam stars Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester, Katie Cassidy as Ruby, J. August Richards as Travis Sheridan, and Patrick Flueger as Carson Adams. The series' official site is http://samtheseries1.proboards83.com. Thank you for paying attention to this article and I hope to see you around the site or on Supernatural.tv forums in the near future.

At first I was uncertain as to the introduction of Castiel as a character, uncertain as to where the show could possibly go regarding the appearance of an angel. But, as the season has progressed, Castiel has added so much to the overall myth-arc unique to the show, that I have grown to like the addition of an angel. They've had demons and creatures of evil on the show for three seasons now, so why could they not have a being of light, representing all that is good to balance things out?
Castiel at first seemed a little mysterious, and probably still does to a certain extent, but, in my opinion, this adds to the appeal of the character, as I am left wondering what direction his story will take, how he will add to the general storyline. I find it interesting how he seems to have a genuine respect and liking for humans and for Dean in particular.
The consistently dishevelled appearance of Castiel is a constant reminder that this, after all, is an angel riding the body of a devout man, a "vessel" as the angel himself constantly refers to the man as, or, in Dean's words "A Holy Tax Accountant" No one truly knows what the angel's true form looks like, bar an unfortunate woman who had her eyes burned out for seeing on Castiel's true visage. The only indication we have been given of Castiel's true angelic nature is the black and shadowy impression of a pair of featheredwings shown to Dean, because in Castiel's words, Dean "had no faith"
I think that Misha Collins is the perfect casting for the role of Castiel, as he seems to convey the perfect sense of outward innocence coupled with the air of hidden menace. Misha has definitely made the character his own, and I cannot now imagine another actor in the role.
Here's hoping that Eric Kripke and his crew will continue to use both Misha and Castiel in many more episodes to come ...

Greetings,
Seeing has how this is my first issue for the Supernatural Newsletter, I thought that it would be a good idea to introduce myself. Incase you didn't read the last issue, or don't remember, I'm SenatorSeth, Seth for short, and I'm a forum moderator on sn.tv. I'm primarily a fan artist, but also make various genres of digital art as well.
However, when Grkgrl said she was stepping down as forum administrator and was looking for volunteers to take over the Newsletter, I thought it would be a good experience to expand beyond the fanart forum and try writing for the Newsletter.
Anyway, I hope that you continue to enjoy the Newsletter. There aren't going to be a lot of changes because I really like the way that Grkgrl has set this up and I love the responses that the newsletter is getting now. However, I will always be open to suggestions and contributions from you readers.
Thanks for your support, and thanks for reading this issue of the newsletter!!
