Hi y'all.  (and I'm not even remotely Southern.  Brookly born and raised)

I begain reading Ellis' "A Guide to Rational Living" last week and doing it slowly, absorbing, underlining etc.  For me, it's by far the best book yet of Ellis or anyone on CBT/REBT.  He seems to cover all my issues, deflates my doubts and protestations so I am savoring it.
I am practicing daily getting up speaking out loud in front of mirror, having "conversations" alone with myself and imaginary others.  My stuttering was improving until yesterday when that "old" feeling of "Uh-oh! It's BACK!" as if "it" was a separate entity, totally out of MY control.
But-that comes with the territory.  I'm quite happy if I take a step back or two as long as I am moving or even inching forward.
Will post more later. I've been done in by terrible seasonal allergy and off to see a specialist.
Thanks for support and look for my postings and updates tonight
Beautiful here in SoCal.  Hope the same for wherever you are.

Taking notes, going through it slowly and carefully.

I worked on my wife’s property for more than eight hours over the weekend. I am really recuperating.:-) Even muscles I did not know I had are hurting. J I have to catch on a few tasks before I can set a time. How is the reading doing? Why don’t you shoot an e-mail to the discussion groups.
