Re: A Small Act of Kindness In Jamaica
- That was a very inspiring and touching story which accurately portrays the innate kindness which is prevalent even here in NYC when the need for such acts arise.
Your story reminded me of something similar but on a much larger scale here in NY during and directly after hurricane Sandy swept through this greater NY area. There was much need for the oneness, compassion and understanding that is often missing in the regular day to day life in a big city. People of all ages and backgrounds seemed to get real fulfillment from helping others in need.
When the outer circumstances get harder and the challenges to normal living become greater, the spiritual qualities of many of the affected people automatically come to the fore. Of course these qualities vary from individual to individual, but in general when outer conditions are at their worst some people seem to be at their best.
Thanks for sharing that story which most of us here in NY can appreciate greatly.
